Hello!

We know how tough being a teen can be and Next Gen is all about giving you time and space with God, with yourself and with friends, whilst having lots of fun. Lemmings Next Gen is a holiday designed for 13-16 year olds. We want to journey with you as you explore and deepen your relationship with God and how it shapes your everyday life. With Bible studies, worship, challenges, games and new experiences, there are loads of memories to make. We can’t wait for you to join us!

Holiday Leaders

Sophie Tapscott

Sophie

My name’s Sophie and I’ve been part of Lemmings Holidays since the very day I was born! I’ve grown up within the Lemmings family from being a leader’s kid, to be a Lemming as a child, to then becoming a leader within the Summer Lemmings Team. Many of you reading this will know I’ve run the Ents side of Summer Lemmings for many years as well as being a Team Leader too. Lemmings is in my blood and I’m so excited to be part of the team growing our camps to reach more young people.I am a youth worker by profession, working for a youth charity The Mix in Stowmarket and I spend my days supporting young people with their mental health and life struggles amongst many other subjects. I am trained as a designated safeguarding lead and a first aider and I’ve run youth camps for my home church and coordinated the safety event, Crucial Crew for the whole of Mid Suffolk so running big holidays/events isn’t unusual for me. I really love working with young people and cannot wait to bring this camp to life in the summer.

We are Matt and Tasha and we have been married since July 2012. We have a cheeky little boy called Ezra who has brought us a lot of love and laughter. Both of us began our ‘Lemmings life’ as campers on Summer Lemmings, one of our sister camps, before becoming leaders. The last few years we have been assisting the Holiday Leaders of Summer Lemmings and this year we are so excited to be joining up with Soph to run Lemmings Next Gen.

Matt - I am training to be a minister at Moorlands College and as part of my training, I currently head up the Youth Work and Safeguarding at our church (among other things!). I have been involved in Youth Work for 16 years and am a trained teacher, with a specialism in working with young people with a wide range of special educational needs. I love working alongside and getting to know young people, especially helping them to understand more about God and exploring those tough life questions that you just don’t ask your family!

Tasha - I am a trained ODP which is best described as a specialist operating theatre nurse. So, if you want any gory tales (or need medical help!) I’m the one to go to. Although I have done Youth Work before, more recently I have been involved in Children’s work so am really excited to get back into Youth Work and helping you discover who you are and want to be.
